who are we?

Bella Wala
owner, tattoo artist

My name is Bella Wala, and I am the proud owner of Whimsy Tattoo. I’ve been a tattoo artist since 2019, starting my journey at the age of 19. After working in five different tattoo shops, I made the bold decision to open my own studio. My vision was to create a space that prioritized inclusivity and acceptance, providing a safe environment for women, the queer community, BIPOC, and neurodivergent individuals. At Whimsy Tattoo, I aim to ensure that all my clients feel valued and comfortable while expressing themselves through body art.

My favorite styles to tattoo include black and grey, American traditional, neo-traditional, stipple work, fantasy, fine line, and floral designs.

Lucinda Wade
tattoo apprentice

Meanwhile, my apprentice, Lucinda Wade, is a classically trained multidisciplinary artist. She graduated with a Film degree in 2022, but has since shifted her focus to work here as a tattooer and nail artist.. She is currently exploring themes of fantasy and color, and has experience in black and grey stipple work.

If you’re considering a small tattoo, palm-sized or smaller, you will be tattooed by Lucinda. While I (Bella) focus on larger projects, typically forearm-sized and bigger.

Lucinda is open to taking on forearm-sized (maximum) tattoos as well, although these would likely be divided into separate sessions to ensure that she focuses on quality and precision.
