who are we?
Bella Wala
owner, tattoo artist
My name is Bella Wala, and I am the proud owner of Whimsy Tattoo. I’ve been a tattoo artist since 2019, starting my journey at the age of 19. After working in five different tattoo shops, I made the bold decision to open my own studio. My vision was to create a space that prioritized inclusivity and acceptance, providing a safe environment for women, the queer community, BIPOC, and neurodivergent individuals. At Whimsy Tattoo, I aim to ensure that all my clients feel valued and comfortable while expressing themselves through body art.
My favorite styles to tattoo include black and grey, American traditional, neo-traditional, stipple work, fantasy, fine line, and floral designs.
Lucinda Wade
tattoo apprentice
Hi! My name is Lucie, and I have been proudly apprenticing with Bella since spring of 2024. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and have worked in different fields as a professional artist for over a decade.
Learning under Bella has been a wonderful experience! With her I have practiced American traditional and fine line. I have also studied color theory to apply those methods to distinctive styles such as glitter tattoos and high saturation. As an apprentice, I have spent many months honing my preferred skills; black and grey fine line with stipple cell shading. I love exploring themes of nature and mysticism. I always look forward to undertaking challenging new concepts and techniques to make the most out of my client’s tattoo experience.
As a disabled woman, I find having a space that is safe and inviting is paramount to a living a comfortable and fruitful life. I aim to host a welcoming, sensory friendly environment for those who support and value my artistic endeavors. Despite any challenges one might have in their day-to-day life, I believe that art should be accessible both physically and financially. Everyone deserves to feel confident, beautiful, and secure. I have found that body modification is a great outlet for that. My one wish is for my clients to end their day feeling seen, heard, and valued.

If you’re considering a small tattoo, palm-sized or smaller, you will be tattooed by Lucinda.
I (Bella) focus on larger projects, typically forearm-sized and bigger.
Lucinda is open to taking on forearm-sized (maximum) tattoos as well, although these would likely be divided into separate sessions to ensure that she focuses on quality and precision.
